Before your manuscript goes to final edits or publication, it helps to see it through the eyes of a reader.
Beta reading provides thoughtful, reader-focused feedback on your manuscript’s overall experience. Instead of focusing on grammar or line edits, we’ll evaluate how the story works as a whole—what’s engaging, what’s confusing, and where readers might lose interest.
You’ll receive detailed feedback on elements such as:
- Plot clarity and pacing
- Character likability and development
- Emotional impact and reader engagement
- Worldbuilding and believability
- Consistency and story logic
- Areas where the story may drag or feel rushed
- Moments that shine and resonate
Our goal is to help you understand how your story feels to readers so you can strengthen it before moving to the next stage of editing or publication.
Beta reading is ideal for authors who:
- Have a completed draft
- Want honest reader feedback before revisions
- Are preparing for professional editing or submission
You’ll receive a written report with notes, reactions, and suggestions to help guide your next round of revisions.
What we’ll need from you:
- A .doc or .epub that we can send to our ereader. Beta reads will not have in-line notes.
- $50.00 deposit required upon booking. The remaining cost must be paid upon delivery of manuscript to the beta reader. Delay of payment could mean delay of service.
- Signed author/beta reader agreement. (Will be sent with the final invoice.)
